Damon has transformed his old university job—working at a bank—into a career in helping people achieve their goals. He has a management diploma from BCIT and extensive experience in both the lending and planning side of finance, which allows him to be more involved with his clients than the average mortgage broker.
Over six years as a mortgage broker, Damon takes a holistic approach with his clients, looking at the big picture, whether that means helping a client plan for a new family or a sabbatical several years down the road. He helps clients realize their dreams through careful problem solving and his knack for understanding unique personal situations.
When he’s not working at Dominion Lending Centers, Damon sits on the Board of Directors for the Vancouver-based New Forms Festival, which hints at his lifetime commitment to music and the arts.
Tyler has had the privilege to work alongside top industry leaders over his eight years as a mortgage broker. He’s taken their processes and refined them over and over to ensure his clients are provided with the best experience possible.
Through handling a high number of transactions on an annual basis, Tyler has expanded his knowledge and has worked with a wide range of clients, from first-time home buyers to seasoned real estate investors, salaried employees to the newly self-employed. Tyler and Team RRP are known for assisting clients when banks and other brokers have said no.
He loves to help his clients realize their dreams, removing any fear of financing or the unknown. For him, the initial meeting is only the first step in setting the foundation for a long-term relationship. He provides his clients with a better understanding of the wide array of mortgage options and lays out a long-term plan to ultimately help them grow their wealth through real estate. It’s no wonder many of his clients become friends as well.
Outside the office, Tyler spends time with his wife and young children and their two rescue dogs. His passion for dogs, and animal welfare in general, often leads him to volunteer at local animal shelters. The Steveston-raised foodie also loves trying out new restaurants and exploring everything Vancouver has to offer, from Granville Island to camping in the interior and snowboarding in Whistler. He’s no stranger to exploring beyond Canada’s borders either; his travels have taken him to Southeast Asia and Australia.
Rob moved into the mortgage industry during a crossroads in his banking career, and he’s thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the last 10 years. With a background in financial planning, he managed the BC Mortgage Underwriting Centre at Scotiabank before moving into business development for mortgage brokers in the Lower Mainland.
At Team RRP powered by DLC, Rob specializes in residential real estate. He loves helping clients realize their dreams, whether it’s accomplishing a long-standing goal of owning a home or helping them through a difficult financial situation. He forms partnerships with his clients to help them navigate their numerous mortgage options so they have a full and complete understanding when making their final decision.
Being a father of three young children makes for some busy evenings and weekends. Rob juggles coaching minor hockey, cheering his sons on in their various sports, and watching his daughter flourish in dance. He understands the unique impact he can have on a child’s life as a coach and is a big proponent of active living—both for himself and his family. On any given weekend, the Macdonald clan can be found at their cabin near Mount Baker, or enjoying B.C.’s beautiful backyard.
The Coquitlam native’s greatest passions are fishing and golfing, the latter gave him the opportunity to play golf at Monterey Peninsula College in California, and a full NCAA Division 1 scholarship at Louisiana Tech University.
Whether he’s with clients or at a hockey game, Rob sees the importance of working as a team and striving towards a common goal.
